Comments & Ratings
Overview
This feature provides the ability for an item in a file area (My Work, My Files, Gallery) to be rated (one to five) and commented on. The rating which a particular user gives, is shown to them as "Your rating" when they view the information on the item. It also displays an Overall Rating which is an average of all the ratings given on that item.
Comments made on items, are shown below in the information listing, and if the commenter also added a rating this will be shown too.
The usage for this could be a teacher giving a score and some feedback on an item.
The functionality is available in both the community files and the users' work area. This allows pupils to comment on community items, and teachers to comment on pupil's work.
Ratings are shown in a graphical form, using either the green or blue dog dependant on theme.
Comments may be removed by teachers.
Rating items in a pupil's My Work area
- 1. Log in with your Teacher or Superadmin account
- 2. Visit the pupil you would like to view from a Community or visit from Admin as a superuser.
- 3. Click on My Work on the pupils homepage
- 4. Click on one of the dogs to represent one to 5 for the rating
- 5. Click on 'Comment' to add a comment if you wish. You can rate work from this screen too.
- 6. Click Save Comment
Rating items in a Community Gallery
- 1. Go to the Community in question
- 2. Click on Gallery
- 3. Click on a dog to represent one to five
- 4. Add a comment if you wish by clicking on the 'comment' button.
- 5. Click Save Comment
