Improver Calendar

The improver calendar allows children to add their own events, while also pulling through events from shared calendars in communities.

How to access the calendar

The calendar can be accessed both the quick link toolbar at the top of your homepage or from the homepage dropdown menu at the top left of the page.



The calendar can be displayed in Day, Week or Month view and an event added by directly clicking the calendar or “Add Event” button.

Adding an event

  • In any calendar view you can click “Add Activity” at the top of the screen. This will take you to a form to add the Title (Which will show in calendar summary view), select the date from drop downs and the start and ending times.

  • Clicking on “Save” at the top will save the event to your calendar. Below you can see how the event will look when viewed by day/week/month:

Adding an Event – Day View

  • Click on the time you would like your event to start.
  • Add a title and an end time or click the “All Day” box.
  • Enter a description if required.
  • Click “Save” at the top.

Adding an Event – Week View

  • Locate the column for the day you would like to add your event.
  • Click on the time you would like your event to start.
  • Add a title and an end time or click the “All Day” box.
  • Enter a description if required.
  • Click “Save” at the top.

Adding an Event – Month View

  • The current month will display in the middle at the top.
  • Use the left and right arrows to go back or forward a month.
  • When you have the month you wish to use in the middle, click the date you would like.
  • Click on the time you would like your event to start.
  • Add a title and an end time or click the “All Day” box.
  • Enter a description if required.
  • Click “Save” at the top.

Setting a Recurrent Event

An event can be set to repeat daily, weekly etc to do this, click on the drop down menu above the description as shown below.

Deleting Events

  • Locate the event on your calendar in either day, week or month view and click on it.


  • Your event will now open with an extra “Delete” button.
  • Click the “Delete” button to delete it.


If the event is a recurring event you have the option to delete either one instance or all instances of this event:
