Looking at the usage stats for your learning platform

Teachers can access pupil login and usage stats. Superadmin are also able to view usage stats for staff and other types of account on the platform.

View user stats for individuals

An individual user's stats can be accessed in two ways:


1. In the accounts view of the administration screen click on the following icon to the right of the user's name:

You will be shown all recent user activities on the following screen:


Here you can view all login times, activity once logged in and logout times.


2. An individual's usage stats can also be accessed when visiting the user's homepage. Click on their 'Change My details' icon (starter theme) or 'My Settings' icon (improver theme):

If you are in the Accounts screen of the Administration area, you can also access the My Settings screen by clicking on the pencil to the right of the pupil's name:

Next visit the Recent Changes tab to view a history of the user's actions on the platform.

On the Recent Changes tab you will see a record of all changes that have occurred to that account. These may be changes made by the pupil, a teacher or superadmin and could include files uploaded, communities joined and forum posts made etc.

Historic changes can also be viewed by clicking on the timespan dropdown on the right of the page:

Colour coding explained

White dot: user logged in

Blue dot: user made a modification

Green dot: user created something

Red dot: user deleted something

Grey dot: user logged out

View user stats for groups

To view usage stats for a group of users, click on the 'Actions' button to the right of the folder and select 'Activity':

The following screen will display usage stats showing the amount of time users have been logged in each month. Red denotes logins during school hours (8-3.30) and green denotes logins outside of school hours:

Clicking on the export button will export this data to an excel spreadsheet.

Viewing a history for the My files/My work and community gallery areas

When visiting an individual's My files/My Work area or a community gallery you can view a record of all changes that have been made within that area.

My Work/My Files history

In the My Files/ My work area, click on the cogs at the top right of the screen.

You will now see some advanced options. Select the 'All History' button to view the user's actions within this area:

Gallery history

In the gallery of a community, click on the cogs to the top right of the screen.

Now select 'All History':

This will show you the actions that have happened in that community gallery:
