Staffroom Community
A staffroom community will be an important hub where teachers can exchange ideas, newletters and news and post messages in the forum.
Adding a welcome message
In this example community you can see the front page has a message welcoming teachers to the staffroom community. For a video overview of how to add a welcome message, click here.
Sharing Information
You may want to share policies, newsletters, and other documents and links with the rest of the staff. This can be done in a couple of ways:
Creating subpages
You can create relevant subpages that link from the main staffroom page. On these pages you could paste in any relevant information as either text or as an image file. Here is an example of some subpage listings:

Using the Gallery
Important documents can be uploaded or created in the gallery area of the staffroom.
You can also Delete, Cut, Copy & Paste individual or multiple files by ticking in their check box.
In a teacher themed community, basic "tagging" has now been replaced by a file management tree, which allows sub tags to be created as in the example below:
Files can also be "dragged", either individually or in bulk, from the files list on the right into the required "tag" or folder on the left.
On the dropdown menu next to a tag, you have a number of options such as renaming the tag, or setting it as the default tag etc.

Creating an initial post in the forum will start staff off engaging in the community.
