Starter Calendar

Your calendar shows you what events are coming up in your school. It is automatically populated with entries from all the communities you are a member of. You can add your own events to the calendar too.

Note: For information on calendar administration tasks such as sharing calendars between communities, setting interval times and importing and exporting communities, click here.

Accessing Calendar

From Quick Links you get the option to either view your calendar or go straight to add an entry.

View Calendar

If you choose See Calendar you will be taken to a day-view:

  • From here you can click on a space or the 'New Event' button to add an event.
  • Browse forward and backward using the left and right arrows.
  • Choose week or month view.
  • Add weather details to any day.

Add an Event

If you choose "Add to to calendar" from Quick Links you will be taken to this screen:


Here you can give the event a title, choose a picture and colour to associate with the event, set the time and give any further descriptions as necessary. You can choose from a number of pre-set pictures or upload your own from the my work area by clicking on 'Find Picture'.

Here is an example of an event created in the starter calendar. Hovering over the event will give you some more information about it:

Add Weather

Click on the Weather button to add weather details for a particular day.

On the next screen you will have a number of weather options to choose from. Click on the one you want to add. You can also change the description to add your own one:



Choose 'save' to confirm your entry.
